Mental Health Counseling

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental health conditions in the U.S., but only half of them receive treatment. And individuals with a mental illness are twice as likely to have a substance use problem compared to the general population. Untreated mental health conditions can affect the mind and body and interfere with relationships at school and work.

The purpose of mental health counseling is to discuss all aspects of your mental health freely. At first, going to mental health counseling may feel awkward and stressful if you have not discussed your struggles with anyone before. If you are unsure where to start, you can start anywhere.

Our mental health counselors are licensed professionals with a goal to make you feel heard and motivated. They use psychotherapy with compassion to understand behaviors, emotions, and thoughts, identify stressors, and teach healthy coping mechanisms to overcome SUD.

Mental health counseling and MAT can successfully treat the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional aspects of mental health and substance use conditions.
