Job Summary:

 

The Clinic Manager will function in a strategic leadership position that will help manage the overall clinical operations of our practice, ensuring a vision and strategy for future growth. This Clinic Manager also provides expertise and leads by example to ensure all patients receive high quality and efficient care. 

 

Supervises:                        Clinic Staff


Primary Responsibilities:


 

  • Oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of the Clinic. 
  • Oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of clinic staff and its programs and activities to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. 
  • Helps establish/implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the assigned clinical areas.  
  • Manages staff performance and evaluations including supervising, coaching, and disciplinary action for front office and clinical staff. 
  • Monitors and controls clinical expenditures to remain within budget. 
  • Addresses issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients and seeks out appropriate leaders or partners to problem solve and improve processes.  
  • Helps fiscal management and other administrative staff to develop/implement cost efficient policies and procedures for all clinic areas, as well as billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, and space planning.  
  • Assists with interviews, hires, and training of the new staff.  
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Education/Certification/License and Training Requirements:


  • Graduate from a recognized training facility for medical assistants and degree in healthcare office management.
  • 3 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting.


Preferred experience:


  • Lean Six Sigma training, Black Belt preferred.
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, behavioral sciences or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

 

Job is performed in an office clinic setting where you will be expected to use a computer, photocopier, fax machine, phone, and other miscellaneous equipment. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time at a desk or station, stand, walk, or kneel as part of their daily functions. Maybe asked to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

 

Travel Requirements:    

 

 Travel between different NWIH facilities and to various meetings and conferences required.


Knowledge and Language Skills:

 

Must be able to read and interpret general business correspondence, policies, and procedures. Have the ability to write business letters, uncomplicated reports, instructions, and procedures. Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from patients, staff, referral sources, and the general public. Should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems. Be able to prioritize workload and activities and follow through on assigned tasks to assure completion in a timely manner. Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch between tasks quickly. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and outside contacts from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds; good diplomatic skills including strong conflict-resolution skills.
